The attraction: This water park in South County Regional Park is popular with kids from tots to teens.
The experience: Younger kids play in the shallow water of an interactive playground that includes steps, small slides and spewing water.
Other kids float on inner-tubes along Lazy River, a meandering stream that circles part way around the park. A ropes course keeps kids hopping on sea-creature-shaped floats bobbing on water. The daring — and those at least 42 inches tall — tackle two four-story water slides.
Details: 11200 Park Access Road, Boca Raton. Open 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. 12 and older, $10; 3-11, $8; 1-2, $3; younger than 1, free. (Prices slightly reduced after 3 p.m.)
Food: Concession stand food, including french fries and chicken nuggets, is baked, not fried. No outside food, coolers, glass or alcohol allowed.
A tip: The water park is least busy Monday through Wednesday. Day-campers fill the park Thursdays and Fridays. Weekends are typically busy. Peak time all days: 1-2 p.m.
