Do-it-yourself skincare recipes
Face it, you don't need to spend a small fortune to take care of your skin properly. Instead, try these tips:
Cleanse. Use baby wash as a facial cleanser. It's inexpensive and quickly removes dirt, oil and makeup without stripping your skin of essential oils. An added benefit: The no-tears formula allows you to completely remove eye makeup, including stubborn waterproof mascara.
Exfoliate. Mix a little sugar and cleanser in your palm and rub on your face in a gentle circular motion, being careful to avoid the sensitive eye area. Rinse with warm water.
Tone. Pour about 1/3 cup of witch hazel into a tub of unscented baby wipes to make convenient (and cheap) pore-tightening wipes.
Moisturize. Finish up with a your favorite moisturizer. If you have dry skin, a small dab of petroleum jelly is an awesome way to lock in moisture.
