Key votes for the week ending September 26

After the months-long fight to get Florida delegates fully counted, some still didn't get to vote for a presidential candidate.

"Logistical issues," said state party spokesman Eric Jotkoff.

Florida's final tally: 135 delegates for Obama, 59 for Hillary Clinton and one abstention.

That leaves 23 other delegates. One couldn't vote because his credential was stolen, Jotkoff said. Others could not enter the floor because the Secret Service shut down entry for Clinton.

When it was New York's turn, Clinton moved to suspend the roll call and declare Obama the nominee. The convention roared in approval.

The voting Floridians celebrated wildly. "We are the great state of Florida, the Sunshine State — 833 miles of coast from sea to shining sea," said state party chair Karen Thurman.

Florida sent 104 delegates pledged to Clinton, based on the primary results. Many voted for Obama after she released them.
