South Florida: Crist celebrates birthday after European trade trip
After taking a day off to rest from a 10-day trade mission to Paris, Madrid, London and other European cities, Gov. Charlie Crist woke up Thursday another year older.
Crist planned to celebrate his 52nd birthday in Palm Beach at a bash at the famed Breakers Hotel, one of the state's most expensive resorts.
It has been a busy summer for the governor, who was engaged in early July and has been traveling coast to coast to appear with fellow Republican John McCain in the Arizona senator's campaign for the presidency.
Crist has been mentioned in some quarters as a possible running mate.
