PALM BEACH GARDENS
Outlook: Strength on both lines and running game will make the Gators another playoff contender.Last season: 9-4
Coach: Kevin Fleury (fourth season, 31-7 overall)
Odds and ends: Won school's only state football championship (6A) in 2005.
PALM BEACH LAKES
Outlook: Team has a solid nucleus and is capable of winning more than five games.Last season: 4-5
Coach: Alonzo Jefferson (first season, 0-0 overall)
Odds and ends: Jefferson played at Cardinal Newman and Notre Dame.
SEMINOLE RIDGE
Outlook: With 17 starters returning, could challenge for a playoff berth.Last season: 5-5
Coach: Matt Dickmann (fourth season, 10-19 overall)
Odds and ends: Has first group of athletes who have gone four years in the program.
VERO BEACH
Outlook: Has several major-college prospects to make the Indians very competitive in district.Last season: 9-3
Coach: Gary Coggin (third season 13-10 overall)
Odds and ends: Has been to the playoffs 20 times since winning 4A state championship in 1981.
