Guillen took over as White Sox manager in 2004, admitting he had a hangover while interviewing for the position. He became the first Venezuelan to manage a team in the majors and became the first Latin American manager to win a World Series when the Sox won 11 of 12 postseason games and swept the Houston Astros in the 2005 World Series. Guillen has developed a reputation for letting his starting pitchers work deep into games. He has a 344-304 record as a manager and currently ranks ninth in franchise history for most wins. Guillen has been ejected 12 times and served two suspensions. He is married (Ibis) and has three sons (Ozzie Jr., Oney and Ozney).
